03:57 pm: Bad Blogger.....
So it appears it has been 103 weeks since I last posted a blog entry. That's amazing and sad. So much has happened and I haven't been documenting it very well. As of right now - July 29, 2008, I am going to try and do better. So - the big news is that I am moving to Austin, Texas. I am getting my MFA at UT Austin while working on the music career and I am VERY excited about it. I know this is the right move for me - who know - maybe I will be inspired to blog a bit more! :-) Well - this is simply a notice for now - a promise, if you will. I will be back and will keep up my end of the bloggin deal. Thanks for the love - see you in Texas!

Hey people - Ijust got an angry email saying that I haven't blogged in a while....I HAVE BEEN A BIT BUSY! I blog out lound most of the time, but I figure now is the time to get this thing rolling again, thanks Jordi! :)

SO - you wanna know what I have been up to???

I finished the album and I am so damn proud of the thing - it is crazy. I love everything about it. The guys I worked with simply amazing. Len Monachello of All Night Chemists was a guy I was intorduced to - being told he was starting up a studio I should talk to him, he could record your next album...and I htought there was no way this guy was going ot be willing to put in as much work as needed to be done - and to my surprise - this guy - Lenny - turned out to be a GOD!!!!!!!!1 He engineered, he played MULTIPLE inturments - he hooked me up with other atrists - we played with me live - he doing the NYC release with me - this guy who I met THE FIRST DAY IN THE STUDIO - has been an unreal super human in my world. This album would NOT have happened without him and his patience and his fucking talent - holy cow he is amazing. And there is Spencer Gordon - I met him at an open mic type thing and he liked what he heard - and that was it. He started coming out to my shows - with camera in hand - smile on his face - and he became my photographer - there was no question who I was going to hire to do my CD cover...... not only my cover, but my website - WHICH I LOVE - my post cards - WHICH I LOVE - he is a image making rock star and I am so very very blessed that he landed in my life. He is so talented and brilliant - and alos patient - IT TAKE A LOT OF PATIENCE TO WORK WITH ME I AM DISCOVERING!!!! And The new look of Jenn hartmann would not have been created with out him! There are other talented folks out there who made this thing rock - Andy LADUe and Lauren Weaver were some of my studio musicians - Jim Perry played drums for me at a live show - Mark Dann did the mastering...............and of course all fo you who come out and support me...... it has been amazing! And now I am ready to take the next step!

CD Release!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yesh - I still think of NYC as my home.....and then of course - my home town will always be home - yeah - and then I actually LIVE in STudio CIty , California...so what does a girl do with all this home town confusion???? SHE THROWS THREE CD RELEASE PATIES IN HER SELF PROCLAIMED HOMES!!!!!!!!!!!

I am so excited about the CD release shows - this is going to be awesome! I will be playing wiht live bands at all three shows and it is going to be AWESOME! I look forward to seeing all my friends, fans, family, and such out there cheering me on - I have never had anythign less then support from you people and I am going to need it most now! This is the time to go "balls to the wall" as we use to say in college - I have a lot of work a head of me to get my album out there - to get it heard and to get it spinning - but I am ready for the challenege - oh yeah!

So bring it - and I can't wait to see you in LA - PHX - or NYC........and I promise to keep the blog updated now...... I AM GOING ON TOUR SOON!!!!!! teehee! :-)

10:59 pm: Silly Urban Girl
Wow - it is January 21, 2006 - I have been in Hollywood for 2 months now and I am loving it. So nice to have sun and short sleeves in January! It was some cold, cold winters for the past few years in NYC! And such cool stuff in the works..."Silly Urban Girl" the long awaited follow up to "I Admit" will be released Spring 2006 - you can hear some the tracks on www.myspace.com/jennhartmann or very, very soon on www.jennhartmann.com - the NEW website is under construction and will be unveiled within the next few weeks.....can you even handle it?!?!?!
For now - know that Jenn Hartmann has already had her debut in Los Angeles at a fantastic venue called Room 5 - she will follow that one up at Cafe Europe in West Hollywood on Saturday Jan 28 - and Folk Alliance Music Festival will be graced the theatrical rock star in February! Things are on their way up....keep your eyes open! :-)
